When a Pattern Breakout Is Only Noise

Hands reviewing notes beside market data

Breakouts feel decisive because they are visually dramatic. In Continuation & Reversal Lab we grade them. Was the move accompanied by expanding participation, or did a thin print spike through and reverse? Did the next session accept the new side of the boundary, or did price reclaim it quickly?

Students keep a short log: break, reclaim, or acceptance. After twenty examples their eye improves. The habit prevents erasing a well-built pattern after one noisy candle—and the opposite error of defending a dead outline long after acceptance is clear.
